Supporting our School and our Students
The Kennedy PTSA is chartered through the Maryland Congress of Parents and Teachers, Inc., and is a member of the Montgomery County Council of PTAs. Maryland PTA ranks among the top of the 54 National PTA State Congresses with 1,025 PTA units in the State of Maryland. We are the largest child advocacy association in the state. PTSA speaks for all children and for quality education.
Communication continues to be a major priority for the Kennedy PTSA. Regular, monthly PTSA meetings (3rd Tuesdays of every month during the school year) allow for parents, teachers, students and staff to share ideas, voice concerns and get questions answered. Important information is also communicated through the PTSA and several Acadamy and group e-mail listservs.
Since its inception, Kennedy PTSA has provided countless hours of volunteer effort and contributed thousand of dollars in fund raising events to support the education and welfare of students. Some of the programs and events that Kennedy PTSA sponsors include Back to School Night, staff appreciation activities,newsletter, student directory, and the After Prom.
The success of the PTSA depends on a committed team of parents. Join the team, become involved, and help make this year the most successful year Kennedy has ever had!
